This drawing was created in remembrance of the family dog, Ruby, after she passed away. The goal was to capture her innocence and playfulness which was done by emphasizing her large eyes, as well as foreshortening her face towards the foreground. This gives the feeling that she is close to the viewer's face to give them love and affection.
