With this second development of the tree studies, the goal was to highlight its large size but instead of creating an overwhelming feeling, the colors and the way in which the paint was applied helped create the feeling of warmth and almost joy under the sun. This development was created by only using a palette knife to apply the paint in order to create heavy texture while also blending the details of the scene and tree to create a softer look giving a light-hearted feeling. The methods used made this tree appear more lively than the dark appearance of the first one.
