ACCESS PVD is a collaborative project aimed at improving the public transit system in Providence through easier access to information. It features a brochure with a map of bus stops around Providence, a user-friendly app that helps organize and simplify information, and flyers that promote both the map and the transit app. Its focus is on simplified information design as a way of promoting accessibility to the transit system, as well as bright colors and illustrations to create a positive and safe environment surrounding bus use. The project also features a campaign to improve the bus environment with the goal of getting better funding for said bus environment and facilities. This could include cleaner buses and bus shelters, and redesigning the bus shelters to promote safety and encourage use. It is a campaign for people's interest and government support.
