Time Heals is a mixed-media piece centered around "Moonchild," an original poem that serves as the emotional foundation of the work. Printed on linen, the poem explores night's silence as a protective presence during periods of emotional darkness. The text is torn, twisted, and knotted to visualize accumulated tension and unspoken emotion. When placed in relation to the human body, the work becomes a wearable form, transforming emotional weight into something tangible. Chains functions as symbols of inescapable attachment, framing emotion as an extension of the self.
The phrase Time Heals, which appears as both the title and text on the reverse side of the piece, reflects on the reluctance to speak up for oneself as an act of self-harm. The work suggests that healing through time is only possible when one is willing to receive help and confront vulnerability. The sculpture is accompanied by a printed newspaper featuring the poem, project context, and photographic spreads documenting the piece as it is draped on the body.
